According to the FLA (FederlegnoArredo) which provides support for its member taking part in the Trade Fairs, Italy's furnishing sector is in downturn. Internal Consumption may be down but Exports are up.
The data on the wood-furnishing and furnishing sectors posted by Cosmit/FederlegnoArredo Study Centre reveals that the recession continues to pull down the wood furnishing sector, but it is a retail crisis rather than one of business competitiveness.
Hordes of buyers from China to the rest of Southeast Asian countries with the Tiger economies who are creating/developing their new worlds along with buyers from Russia flock this huge trade fair of the commercial Salone Internazionale del Mobile, as well as the more edgy Ventura Lambrate design district.
